Assigned to assist the Project Manager in handling a project with a furniture manufacturing company, Mehitabel Inc., based in Cebu City, Philippines.
Demonstrated ability to learn the workarounds of SAP Business One, an ERP designed for small and mid-sized businesses.
I was assigned to develop Print Layout Designs including forms with difficult structure design required by the client.
Able to learn fast the Data Migration procedures using Data Transfer Workbench including the important records like the Item Master Data, Item Cost, Stock Taking, Business Partner Data, AP Vouchers, Chart of Accounts, etc. Learned the dependencies that are needed to initialize before proceeding with the data transfer.
Learned the business process analysis needed to start the initialization of a new company including the company details, chart of accounts, GL determinations, approval procedure, bills-of materials, A/R, A/P, inventory, etc.
Able to study other functionalities of the SAP Business One to help in system setup and initializations.

Phone Consulting: Project development is completed already but roll-out in North Asia and India is still on going thus they need further guidance on some unexpected issues and problems.
During the project development:
Conducted sales-opportunities process scope analysis and requirements gathering.
Designed and successfully implemented the Project-&-Quote-Tool System using Excel VBA for Sales Forecasting, Marketing for their Asia Pacific Operation. This is for an overall Asia Pacific marketing analysis. The company gets a consolidated look at the quote activities, closure rates, lost business report, mega-projects report, dollar forecasting and equipment forecasting along with some marketing statistics.
Progress was thoroughly tested and reviewed by Emerson's Philippine, Australia and New Zealand offices and the the project is already running in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Philippine's Sales Office.
Collaboration with the company in-house support liaison to effectively communicate request for requirement changes and documentation, and changes in schedule.
Flexibility to work from Friday evening until weekends to meet requirement amendments deadline.

On September 12, 2005, recruited initially by RAF International Freight Forwarding, Inc. for Jupiter Air Oceana with a plan to put up an IT company in the Philippines to develop a modern freight computer system. Jupiter Air Oceana is a freight forwarding company based in Sydney, Australia. Later on the initiative established and registered the company under the name Safarik Technology Inc.
Effectively directed recruitment of 3 .NET programmers by developing appropriate capability-focus examination and conducting behavioral interview and managed comprehensive job-function orientation for the 3 newly hired employees.
Conducted overall business process analysis and project requirements. Determination of the suitability of the old system to the company-wide business operation and developed "Gap Analysis" to formulate new functions to make the new system "fit" more to the actual business process.
Lead the 3 programmers to upgrade and replace obsolete systems for a multinational mother company Jupiter Air Oceana. I provided technical consulting and some "hands-on" programming of the different systems conversion from the outmoded platform to a more robust object-oriented VB.NET and C# platform, and database SQL Server 2005 Express. Lead the design, development and integration of a multi-currency and multi-company Accounting System, Quotation System and Freight Sales System developed in-house and to be implemented on different offices of the mother company across the globe. It would provide an overall consolidated look at the quote activities, customer-focus analysis, reservation records, AWB registers, sales, sales cost, accrued cost, account payables, account receivables and financial reports.
Demonstrated capability to manage completion of programming of 3 corporate mission-critical business applications by creative development of 70% of the systems design to implement object-oriented templates to quickly meet a tight deadline of 3 months with just 3 programmers plus me.
Directed a once a week project review to determine project progress, scope amendments, requirements revisions, resources adjustments and initiated SWOT analysis to mitigate formidable problems hence reduced "risks" occurrence.
Flexibility to work more than 8 hours a day and weekends to meet a very tight timeline and rolled up sleeves to do some of the programming.
Directed design and installation of a small LAN/WAN infrastructure. Designed and setup LAN/WAN using Windows 2003 Server including Active Directory Services, Group Profiles, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server 2K/2005 Express, Print Server, E1 internet connection, VPN etc.
Restructured database design to save Php8M (US$156k). Due to a limited budget, demonstrated the ability to conduct a thorough design structure analysis and capital cost analysis of what was needed to be done and redesign the architecture and database system to avoid excessive capital spending, bring into existence a cost-effective but still robust system infrastructure with the use of free software SQL Server 2005 Express from Microsoft instead of the commercial version that would cost around Php4 million (US$78) each enterprise license version including Client Access License for each user of more than 500 workstations.
Implemented cost-effective network and security platform using free open-source software like Linux and FireStarter.

Recruited initially to attend network administration functions but initiated and convinced the management to upgrade and replace obsolete technologies at this nationwide-level manufacturing organisation with users in 10 remote locations. I spearheaded transition from outdated organisation-wide and departmental technologies to highly functional, streamlined, and cost-effective client-server technologies and business solutions that have dramatically improved efficiency, decreased expenses, and optimised data integrity and safety.
Involvement in requirements gathering and its documentation. Together with the Internal Auditors, developed "Process Map" and "Narrative" documentations to visually understand in details every area of the business functions. With the help of these documents, I was able to design application programs.
30% Transaction Efficiency & Speed (8 Projects completed in 3 years). Able to analyse, design and develop Visual Basic/SQL Server 2000/MS Access/ASP/VB.NET/C#/ASP.NET/XML Web Services/T-SQL/Crystal Report programs of office processes for efficiency and quick reports generation: Accounting System (General Ledger) System, Accounts Payables System, Fixed Assets Management System, Commercial Eggs Sales (and Cull/By-Product) Sales System, Purchasing and Receiving System, Medicine & Supplies Inventory Systems for raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods delivery, Hatchery Inventory/Process Recording System and Chicks Distribution/Logistics Register, and Breeder Farm (with Parent Stock Amortisation Computation) System.
Developed Transactions Traceability. In preparation for company-wide reorganisation, developed and implemented an integrated accounting system for different branches, operations and satellite service offices, for more transparent information traceability. The system has a capability for a multi-branch / multi-company consolidation of financial reports. It generated single or consolidated balance sheet reports, income & expenses reports, general journal, general ledger, subsidiary ledgers and trial balance reports for the operation cost accounting calculation.
Initiated and managed implementation of the Hatchery Inventory/Process Recording System and Chicks Distribution/Logistics Register in hatcheries in 10 different locations across the Philippines.
On all 8 projects, supervised the development of "Test Scripts", documentation of "Expected Test Results" and carrying out of the actual test.
Directed design and installation of a complete small LAN infrastructure. Designed and setup LAN/WAN using Windows 2000 Server/Professional, including Active Directory Services, Group Profiles, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server 2K, IIS 5, Switches, Print Servers, DSL, UPS, Anti-virus, etc.
Initiated and supervised installation of barcode reader for timekeeping.
Initiated implementation of standard operating procedures: Together with the internal auditors we conducted company-wide analysis and established measurable office policies to eliminate redundancies and ineffectiveness of transactions.
Successfully recruited 2 programmers to maintain some of the programs that I developed.

Whilst in the bank, I participated in the design, analysis, and programming of the Consumer Finance System (CFS) and Purchasing System. CFS was actually a loan system developed in QuickBasic that monitored amortization schedule, provided receivables aging reports, and generated a consolidated look of all consumer finance transactions of all branches. CFS also had an integrated branch and consolidated General Ledger.
Supervised the development of "Test Scripts", documentation of "Expected Test Results" and carrying out of the actual test.
The role was colleague facing, I was attending to all manner of project implementation duties including the hardware, network, and program error troubleshooting and solutions. Sometimes, I was the first point of contact for the IT project matters especially scope changes request and had a professional, courteous manner when dealing with them. I was also able to follow-up on a variety of transactions while ensuring confidentiality was kept at all times
Involved in development of purchasing system using Clipper 5.2. The system was like a typical procurement program that has vendor profiling, price matrix, transaction monitoring, and supplies cost and inventory tracking.
Oversaw the implementation of the Local Area Network in the Consumer Finance Division to make sure of the compatibility with the installation of the Consumer Finance System. Personally installed the Novell Netware network operating system on the File Server that would be used for the entire network infrastructure.
